Ultra Ego

A Celebration of Saint Lucian Masquerade

AFCA Movements

For Notting Hill Carnival 2026, Ultra Ego proudly brings the spirit, mystery, and cultural vibrancy of Saint Lucia to the road.

Rooted deeply in Saint Lucian folklore and masquerade traditions, this presentation celebrates the island’s rich heritage through character, movement, and storytelling. Traditional masquerade in Saint Lucia is more than costume — it is history, expression, resistance, humour, and identity passed down through generations.

On Saturday, we will introduce two of the four iconic masquerade characters that will form part of our full road presentation. Each character reflects a unique piece of Saint Lucian culture, embodying the drama, creativity, and theatrical energy that make the island’s masquerade traditions so captivating.

Through colour, rhythm, dance, and performance, Ultra Ego invites audiences to step into the living folklore of Saint Lucia — where tradition meets carnival spectacle.

This is not just a portrayal of characters, but a tribute to the diversity, spirit, and cultural legacy of Saint Lucia, brought to life on the streets of London.
